PPAEDCO Formally Opens Water Station Business

The PPA Employees Development Cooperative (PPAEDCO) formally opened its purified water station business last March 2012 at the PPATC compound.  Lending support to the cooperative’s new business endeavour were PPA AGMs Atty. David R. Simon and Raul T. Santos as well as PPA Managers, Ms. Madeline Abada, Ms. Virgie Valero, Atty. Francis Mancile, Mr. Antonio Ignacio and Corp. Board Secretary Atty. Elsa Hilario. Other officers and staff from the Head Office, PDO Manila/Northern Luzon, PDO Southern Luzon, PMOs South Harbor and North Harbor were also present.

In his inspirational message, Atty. Simon congratulated the officers and members of the cooperative for finding ways to create business that would mean additional source of income for the PPA employees and not just be dependent on the financial benefits that the PPA has been giving. The 3 meters by 4 meters station, built late last year, is located inside the vicinity of the PPATC near the Day Care Center.

It took years before the business became fully operational as the officers had to take into consideration under its feasibility study, the site, the blessing of the PPA Top Management, the water supply and the construction of the facility.

With its own purified water station, members will be assured of high quality, safe and pure water that the PPAEDCO water station produces as the process runs under 21 stages which include filtration, purification, polishing and sterilization using advance system complemented equipment designed for commercial use.
